January 7, 2005 - New Year's Resolution
Williamsburg Bridge, New York, January 1, 2005 (Shooting data: ISO 100, 1/10, f/8.0, 24mm, Camera: Canon EOS 300D, Lens: Canon EF24-70mm 2.8L)
The year 2005 will be a exciting one. Here is my new year's resolution (not to be broken).

First of all, I have this Japanese jazz ensemble called WaFoo, which debuted in New York last year. The band has already received two prestigious grants for two concerts in New York, one of which is collaboration with an orchestra. Also, the first CD is coming out.

Second, I have a guitar/piano duo, which also started last year. The duo is highly creative to perform not only jazz standards, but also unconventional materials such as the Beatles and Japanese hit songs. The duo is also planning to release a CD.

Third, I will work on my piano trio. The first rehearsal is already scheduled. I am thinking about playing more standards than my original compositions. It should be exciting!

Fourth, piano solo. I have already finished with writing. Hope to record them to release a solo piano CD.

Fifth, I started a music school last year, and had wonderful and very gifted students. I want to continue the excitement with these young students.

Last but not the least, I will continue practicing and working on classical repertoire.

Well, let's have a wonderful year together! Oh, I also continue the photography.
